Biography

Dr. Christopher Ozorio began his musical journey at age ten and continued his studies through high school under Dr. Wes Brewer. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Arizona in 2013, then served in the U.S. Marine Corps with Marine Band San Diego, where he developed strong leadership and teaching skills. After his service, he pursued a Master’s degree at Long Island University, studying with renowned percussionist Frank Cassara, and later earned a Doctorate in Music Education from Liberty University. In 2022, he joined the faculty at Pima Community College, teaching music theory and mentoring young musicians. He now owns and runs Barrio Drum School, where he continues to share his passion for music and education. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching too much reality television, and spending time with his wife, Samantha.
